Our Body, Our Life was written to help people become spiritually,
mentally, and physically healthy and fit and live more greatly
for God. To
live greatly for God, we must commit to mental and spiritual
health and fitness, which results when we prayerfully seek
God and live our lives His waydaily. While poor physical
health and fitness is sometimes unavoidable, it often results
from over-eating, under-exercising, and taking poor care of
our bodies. Great physical health and fitness is achieved
by eating nutritiously, exercising regularly, and taking great
care of our bodies and results in an increased capacity to
live greatly for God. Because the accumulation of our daily
thoughts and actions so greatly impacts our spiritual, mental,
and physical health and fitness, we pray that together God
will help us practice the 49 life-renewing disciplines in
this program and reward us with abundant, fruitful lives lived
greatly for Him.
